Silent Retreat on the Island of Utö

Where silence becomes your teacher and nature your companion.

21-24 May, Utö

Silent Retreat on the Island of Utö.

Where silence becomes your teacher and nature your companion

In the heart of the Stockholm Archipelago lies Utö, a place where the rhythm of nature invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters. During these four days, we step into silence together. No words, no performance, only presence, reflection, and the quiet unfolding of what life wants to show you.

  • Each day begins with a guided morning meditation and includes time for rest, personal reflection, and quiet walks in nature.

  • After lunch, we gather for a short silent meditation.

  • In the evening, we meet again, in silence or gentle guidance, to close the day.

  • All meals are enjoyed in silence, an invitation to stay present, savour each bite, and let the stillness continue to guide you.

  • One day will include a silent guided walk along Utö’s beautiful forest and coastal trails.

All meals are lovingly prepared, mainly vegetarian, and coffee, tea, fruit, and Swedish fika are always available. You will have your own comfortable single room, creating space for rest and solitude. This retreat is an invitation to let silence speak, to allow yourself to simply be and listen to the wisdom within.

Katarina Cars.

In 2012, Katarina made the decision to start her own business. The same year she met Alan Seale for the first time at the International Coach Federation (ICF) Global Conference in London. Katarina participated in a workshop that Alan led for about 500 people, and without really understanding what she had been through, she had at the same time a feeling that it was so natural and obvious. Since then, Transformational Presence has become a way to live and lead from in the meeting with customers, clients and in all relationships with people she interacts with.

Katarina has a degree in Human Resources from Uppsala University. She has always been curious about what we as humans bring to the world, and the importance of our relationships with each other in our everyday life and leadership. During her years as an employee, Katarina worked globally in the life science and telecom industry at companies such as Pharmacia Biotech, Amersham, General Electric Healthcare and Telenor.

Cars Consulting Group helps groups, teams, organizations and individuals in their development. When working with management teams, her focus is on openness and trust, building confidence in each other within the group and training individuals and the group to listen deeply. She makes sure that the issues that matter and are important come to the surface and become speakable. Katarina designs leadership programs for companies and personal development programs for anyone who is curious to develop themselves in their personal leadership.

Katarina was born in Uppsala where she still lives. Her favorite place is Utö in the southern Stockholm archipelago. For her, Utö is her 'real home'. There she is close to the sea, the forest and the silence. This is where Transformational Presence is fully present.
